Known issues

Here you can find the know issues and workarounds how to deal with them (if posible), when you run into an issue which is not listed her please contact the beamline scientist or some one from the bluesky team. Please do not try to fix something by yourself!

Frezezing counts when taking projectors

Sometime when there was cnnection issue betwewn the TES IOC on the tessy compouter the communication between both computer is broken and this will result in a freesing dastatrd comander. So far we only sow it when we were tanke porjectors fro a calibration. When youstart the porjectors the nbs-gui stop shortly after but the dastartd commander (observation tab on the tessy computer) will stuck on high counts for ever. Even whne you restart dastard it will stay the same for the porjector plan again.

Solution:

You need to reatard the tes_server on tessy and the TES_IOC on the bluesky computer (etherthe nsb=-gui is running)

  1. Stop tes_server on tessy computer by all terminal for dastard and tes_gui.
  2. Restart TES_IOC on the bluesky computer, by typing thefollowing in a terminal: bash tes_restart
  3. Start tes_server with tes_gui on `tessy again (see: starting tes_server )

When this is done you will need to actiavte off-file writing again, like this: activate file writing in TES at the end of starting tes_server
